Kotak Mahindra Bank (Kotak) today announced a spree of activities that are being conducted for Kotak Group’s employee well-being in the wake of the ongoing lockdown to combat the pan-India COVID-19 pandemic.

Under Kotak’s initiative ‘Health to the Power Infinity’, Kotak’s human resources (HR) division has launched several online offerings to support the health and overall well-being of Kotakites.

“To achieve holistic welfare of employees, the initiative is divided into four pillars – ‘Physical, Emotional, Financial and Social’. Each pillar dives into a specific part of health and wellness to assist Kotakites in their journey towards a healthier lifestyle.”

In-house doctors are available during the lockdown period to answer medical queries related to COVID-19 symptoms. Counsellors and psychiatrists are available to guide employees on personal as well as professional issues if any. Nutritionists guide employees on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and also provide personalized diet charts and fitness plans.

Celebrity yoga acharya and best-selling author Ira Trivedi conducts live sessions on yoga asanas and breathing techniques to boost immunity and respiratory strength, followed by a 20-minute insightful question and answer round.

Kotak employees can book prior appointments for an on-line or telephonic consultation to avail of these services.

Under the ‘Kudos to Kotakites’ exercise, employees are being encouraged to appreciate fellow Kotakites working from branches and offices. For entertainment, employees can also participate in educational quizzes and mind games.

The top management is also guiding employees on ways to manage their financial assets.

Sukhjit Pasricha, President & Group Chief Human Resource Officer, Kotak Mahindra Bank said, “The coronavirus pandemic is a mammoth catastrophe. Banking falls under essential services and our colleagues have been working steadfastly to service customers. They are our valuable assets. We genuinely appreciate their efforts and want to help them wade through this crisis in every way possible.”

“The ‘Health to the Power Infinity’ platform is a small gesture on our part to not only appreciate their efforts but also uplift them physically, emotionally, socially and financially. Over sixty thousand Kotakites from group companies can avail these services from the comfort of their homes, amid the ongoing lockdown.” he added.

Kotak Mahindra Group is one of India’s leading financial services conglomerates. In February 2003, Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd. (KMFL), the Group’s flagship company, received a banking license from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), becoming the first non-banking finance company in India to convert into a bank – Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. The Bank has four Strategic Business Units – Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, and Treasury, which cater to retail and corporate customers across urban and rural India.
