HCLTech Staffer Dies After Cardiac Arrest in Nagpur Office

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a senior analyst employed by HCL Technologies Ltd. (HCLTech) lost his life due to a sudden cardiac arrest while at work.

The incident occurred at the company’s office in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

HCLTech Tragedy and Immediate Response

Nitin Edwin Michael (40), a dedicated senior analyst at HCLTech died of a cardiac arrest on Friday evening around 7 pm. He was found unresponsive in the washroom of HCLTech’s office in Nagpur’s Mihan area.

Nitin was found unresponsive by his colleagues. They promptly rushed him to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur.

Tragically, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

The company acted swiftly and Nitin received immediate emergency care at the campus clinic. Despite their efforts, the severity of the cardiac arrest was insurmountable.

The company expressed deep sorrow over the loss and extended condolences to Nitin’s family.

Initial autopsy results confirmed that Nitin Edwin Michael succumbed to cardiac arrest. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Police have registered a case of accidental death. Nitin leaves behind his wife and a six-year-old son. Their grief is immeasurable, and the company is providing all possible assistance to the bereaved family.

HCLTech’s Commitment to Employee Wellbeing

HCLTech emphasized that employee health and wellbeing are paramount. The company offers comprehensive healthcare programs, including on-campus clinics and annual preventive health checks.

This tragic incident underscores the need for continued vigilance and support for employees’ physical and mental health.

A company spokesperson in a statement on Sunday said, “HCLTech is also extending all possible assistance to the family of the deceased employee.”

He added, “The wellbeing of our people is of utmost priority. HCLTech provides healthcare programs for its employees and their families including on-campus clinics and annual preventive health checks.”
