In a major step toward empowering students with future-ready skills, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched a free virtual internship program focused on Python, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Data Science.

This opportunity is open to students across India and offers hands-on learning and project-based experience in some of the most in-demand technologies in today’s job market.

The internship is being offered under the AICTE Internship Portal in collaboration with industry partners, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and industry through practical exposure.

The application deadline is July 4, 2025, and interested students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to secure their spot.

Key Features of the Internship:

  • Duration: 6 weeks of virtual learning
  • Mode: 100% online, making it accessible to students across urban and rural regions
  • Content: Focused modules on Python programming, AI concepts, ML algorithms, and Data Science techniques
  • Mentorship: Guidance from industry experts and experienced educators
  • Certification: AICTE-recognized certificate upon successful completion

This initiative is designed not only to build technical competencies but also to help students build real-world projects that can enhance their resumes and job readiness.

The program is particularly beneficial for students from engineering, computer science, and data-related academic backgrounds, but remains open to all with a willingness to learn.

AICTE’s virtual internship program aligns with the Government of India’s vision of promoting digital skills and employability among youth under its Digital India and Skill India missions.

The curriculum ensures that even beginners can grasp fundamental and advanced concepts, thanks to a structured and interactive format.

To apply, students must visit the AICTE Internship Portal and register before July 4, 2025. Applicants are advised to review the eligibility criteria and program structure before submission.

This internship is a stepping stone for students looking to build a career in AI, data science, and emerging technologies, giving them a valuable edge in an increasingly competitive job landscape.
