Lupin, a Pharmaceutical major is planning to step up its presence in India with its hiring connected to new business divisions being launched, according to an ET report.
The hiring plan of the company includes Digital Health, Medtech, and Consumer-facing diagnostics roles. The company is also hiring data scientists and engineers across the board.
Commenting on the development Yashwant Mahadik, President – Global Human Resources, Lupin said, “All these roles are new requirements that mainly require a combination of medico and management skills.”
“The pharma industry is very bullish on growth right now. We are focusing on ramping up for new-age roles like product development specialists, product design professionals, biotech experts, commercial product pricing skills, legal know-how in pharma.” He added.
“We have also come up with a new set of roles that are largely technical and are part-time.” Mahadik further said.
The Pharma major is currently running a pilot project under which 12-15% of its workforce is being given the option to work from home.
