Honeywell, a multinational conglomerate that operates in four areas of business: aerospace, building technologies, performance materials and technologies, and safety and productivity solutions has announced the launch of the India LGBTQ+ Employee Network today.

Commenting on this occasion, Rajesh Rege, President, Honeywell India said, “Creating an environment of openness and belonging, and making space for others to grow, shapes who we are and the work we do. At Honeywell, we are deeply committed towards diversity and inclusion – in spirit and in action.”

“We are delighted to officially launch the India PRIDE chapter to create a more inclusive atmosphere for our people. It is a testament to our unwavering commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equality, as we strive to make sure every #futureshaper feels welcome in the workplace.” He added

Rajesh further said, “I hold my passion for creating an equitable society very close to my heart and I wish to engage in conversations on issues that matter. This PRIDE month let’s imbibe the spirit of inclusion by thriving to be better allies at our workplace.”

Speaking on the launch of the LBTQ+ India PRIDE Chapter, Sumedha Pal Parmar, Country HR Leader – Honeywell India said, “This month has been a special month for us as we announced the launch of our first-ever India PRIDE chapter. The last few weeks saw multiple events in form of Pride Rangolis, Rainbow days etc. to celebrate PRIDE and showcase support.”

“Though the message was simple it was the “crux” of who we are and what we believed in – BE the BEST YOU and BRING your whole SELF TO WORK! I am very excited with the response we have received in the last few weeks and thrilled to see the members and allies group growing strong. Today we launched India PRIDE chapter formally!” She added.

LGBTQI is an abbreviation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex community. Over the year, the movement has gained wide recognition and has also witnessed celebrities coming out and extending their support to the community.

June is here and so is Pride Month. Every year, the LGBTQ community across the globe comes together to celebrate their existence and sexuality in the month of June which is referred to as Pride Month.
