ISRO is offering free online cybersecurity course; Apply

The national space agency of the nation, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is currently offering a free online cybersecurity course for working professionals in the Central and State Governments.

ISRO has introduced a ‘Course on geo-data sharing and cyber security’ which will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS). The IIRS outreach programme, which was started in 2007 with 12 universities/ institutions has now grown substantially to 3000+ network institutes.

About the Course

The institute is taking its pioneering steps towards Cyber Security by starting this Interdisciplinary course for Cyber Security and Cyber Defense of Critical Infrastructures and Geo-Data sharing.

The course brings both theoretical as well as use cases on how cyber defense and awareness technology can be effectively applied to better understand and manage cyber threats.

The course mission is to research, educate, train, and spawn startups in Remote sensing data and geoinformatics and create technological safeguards to protect critical infrastructure.

Registration Process

  • Courses updates and registration form will be available on the URL – https://www.iirs.gov.in/EDUSAT-News
  • Fill out and submit the form to get the registration number.
  • Wait for approval mail and login credentials from IIRS.
  • Once approved, login to the IIRS Eclass platform https://eclass.iirs.gov.in/login to attend the sessions in live or offline mode

The time span of programme is 14 days from 28 November to 11 December, 2023 and is being offered free of cost. In order to obtain a certificate 70 percent attendance is mandatory. In case of Online Registration kindly click here.
