Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has inaugurated a new city office in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (CSN), Maharashtra.

The 7,000 sq. ft. facility is located at ABC EAST beside Prozone Mall in Chikalthana.

It will function as a regional hub for operational planning, stakeholder engagement, and ecosystem development.

The inauguration was led by Masakazu Yoshimura, Chairman, MD & CEO of TKM, and Swapnesh Maru, Deputy Managing Director – Corporate Planning, Green Field Project.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra in July 2024.

The agreement focuses on establishing a Greenfield Manufacturing Facility in the region.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s Localized Strategy to Unlock Marathwada’s Potential

Speaking at the ceremony, Swapnesh Maru emphasized the importance of a localized approach to deepen market engagement and stakeholder collaboration.

He stated, “We remain committed to bringing in world-class manufacturing capabilities to the region—unlocking Marathwada’s potential by creating employment, nurturing skilled talent, and driving inclusive, sustainable growth.”

The new office is expected to enhance TKM’s regional operations. It will also support the rollout of the Greenfield plant and contribute to industrial transformation in Maharashtra.

TKM’s presence is also aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, which aims to position India as a global manufacturing powerhouse.

Commitment to Sustainability and Skill Development

Guided by the philosophy of ‘Grow India – Grow with India’, TKM is actively working on initiatives that promote inclusive and sustainable growth.

These include:

  • Launching industry-relevant skill development programs
  • Supporting educational institutions through infrastructure upgrades
  • Providing access to essential learning resources
  • Creating a world-class talent pool to support future manufacturing needs

These efforts are designed to strengthen the local ecosystem, enhance employability, and foster long-term community development across Maharashtra.

Greenfield Manufacturing Facility: A Vision in Motion

The MoU signed in 2024 outlines TKM’s plan to establish a state-of-the-art Greenfield Manufacturing Facility in CSN.

The new city office will act as a command center for this initiative, enabling TKM to coordinate with local authorities, industry bodies, and government stakeholders.

TKM’s broader manufacturing operations include two plants in Bidadi, Karnataka, with a combined installed capacity of 342,000 units.

The company produces models such as Innova HyCross, Fortuner, Camry Hybrid, and Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and imports premium vehicles like Vellfire and LC 300.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s Legacy and Future Outlook

Founded in 1997, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation (Japan) and Kirloskar Systems Limited (India).

With over 6,500 employees and a strong legacy of innovation, TKM continues to invest in mobility solutions, sustainability, and community empowerment.

Toyota’s inauguration of the CSN office reflects its strong belief in India’s growth potential.

It also underscores the company’s commitment to developing a robust mobility ecosystem that aligns with both regional aspirations and national development goals.
