A virtual internship is now open for students interested in Android development, backend engineering, or UI/UX design.
This virtual internship program is centered around building a mobile news application that focuses on regional languages.
The app will offer real-time news updates, trending stories, and local content in a simple and easy-to-use format.
About the program
Selected interns will work on a fully functional mobile app, gaining experience in app development, backend systems, and interface design.
Key features of the app will include news categories, multiple language support, content management tools, push notifications, and user login functionality.
Interns will be involved in both development and deployment tasks under the guidance of experienced developers. The internship will give students a chance to work with tools commonly used in the tech industry, such as GitHub, Firebase, and API integration services.
Regular meetings and updates will be held through platforms like Notion and Google Meet to ensure team coordination and steady progress.
Perks
On successful completion of the virtual internship, interns will receive a certificate from a registered tech startup. High-performing participants may be awarded a stipend ranging from ₹500 to ₹1000, based on consistency and contributions.
Those who show strong technical skills, responsibility, and teamwork may also receive a Letter of Recommendation.
Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to students currently enrolled in B.Tech, B.E., or equivalent programs with specializations in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields.
Applicants must be available for a 2-month period and be able to commit 4 to 5 hours daily, Monday to Saturday.
Interns are expected to meet deadlines, attend scheduled check-ins, and deliver tasks as planned. All code, designs, and materials developed during the internship will remain the property of the organization.
Sharing any part of the project without written consent is strictly not allowed. Evaluations will be based on performance, reliability, and communication. Interns who do not meet the set expectations may be removed from the program.
Interested candidates can visit the AICTE Internship Portal and apply.
This internship offers a practical opportunity for students looking to apply their skills, learn how real tech teams operate, and take part in building a product from the ground up.
