Paytm shuts its offices in Gurugram and Noida for two days

Paytm confirms one employee in Gurugram has tested positive for novel coronavirus, thus company shuts offices for two days and advised all its employees to work from home for the next couple of days while the Gurgaon unit gets sanitised.

According to the spokesperson, the employee had recently returned from a vacation in Italy, one of the worst-hit countries from coronavirus.

He said Company has suggested team members of the COVID-19 patient get their health tests done immediately.

The spokesperson added, all its six offices will remain closed for sanitising purposes and announced two-day leave for all its employees. Paytm currently has five offices in Noida and one in Gurugram. However, there will not be any impact on our daily operations and Paytm services will continue as usual.”

Union Health Minister, Harsh Vardhan confirms the number of coronavirus cases in India rose to 29, including 16 Italians touring through Rajasthan. India has banned travellers from 4 nations Italy, Iran, South Korea, and Japan.

All international passengers will now be screened at airports, amid growing concern over the spread of the respiratory infection. Union Health Minister said on Wednesday, 4th March.

Globally, there have been over 92,800 cases of the novel coronavirus. At least 3,100 people have died so far — the majority of them in China. Infections have steadily risen in Iran, Italy, Japan and South Korea. The outbreak is having a major impact on the global economy and the stock market.
