Quess Corp, India’s leading business services provider, added 1.33 lakh new formal jobs in FY25, according to its latest Pulse Report.

The company’s contribution represents nearly 1% of all new Universal Account Numbers (UANs) generated nationally under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), underscoring its role in accelerating formalisation across India’s labor market.

The report highlights a significant shift in employment patterns, with formal jobs increasingly becoming the first career step for young Indians.

Of all new EPFO subscribers in FY25, 61% were under the age of 29, and nearly half were between 18 and 25 years old.

Women Account for 23% of New Formal Jobs at Quess

A notable highlight of the report is the growing participation of women in formal employment.

Of the 1.33 lakh new UANs generated by Quess, approximately 30,000—or 22.5%—were for women.

This marks a steady rise in female labor force participation, which reached 41.7% nationally in FY25.

The IT and ITeS sectors recorded the strongest female representation, with women comprising 31% of Quess’s workforce in these domains.

States such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Goa, and the North-Eastern regions emerged as top performers in gender inclusion, with women representing close to 30% of the workforce in these geographies.

Lohit Bhatia, President – Workforce Management at Quess Corp, noted, “We are seeing a clear trend of women entering graduate and postgraduate roles, especially in tech-enabled sectors. This is a positive sign for long-term workforce diversity and productivity.”

Sectoral Distribution and Regional Trends

Quess placed the highest number of employees in the retail sector, with 1.03 lakh associates deployed across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 cities.

Other key sectors included BFSI, telecom, manufacturing, and logistics.

The company’s diversified placement strategy reflects its ability to meet workforce demands across industries and regions.

States like Madhya Pradesh showed strong workforce stability, while southern and northeastern states led in gender-balanced hiring.

The report also emphasized the importance of infrastructure improvements and policy support to sustain this momentum.

Social Security and First-Time Workers

Quess’s hiring efforts extended statutory benefits to thousands of first-time workers, helping bridge the gap between informal and formal employment.

The company’s Merit Services model focuses on digitizing workflows, providing social security, and enhancing employability through skill development.

As of March 2025, Quess employed approximately 4.55 lakh people across India.

The Pulse Report highlights the company’s role in shaping India’s labor market.

It positions Quess as a key contributor to making employment more inclusive and structured.
