ShareChat announces ‘Refer A Sakhi program’ an initiative to offer second career opportunity for women

  • ShareChat launched this campaign as a part of their Women’s day celebration
  • ShareChat employees will get a chance to Refer A Sakhi  across 7 job openings

ShareChat, India’s own social media platform, announces the launch of the “Refer A Sakhi” program for women who want to come back to work after a break. The program, launched as a part of the Women’s Day celebration, will now be a part of its long-term hiring strategy.

Swapna Nair, Vice President – Human Resources, ShareChat said, “As women go through multiple transitions in their life, sometimes taking sabbatical becomes an obvious decision. Hence, we have launched this program in an attempt to bring their professional progression on track. We hope such initiatives would help translate ShareChat into a better workplace as we always keep talent ahead of any other aesthetics .”

To begin with, this program will be an internal referral where ShareChat associates can refer women across 7 job openings at ShareChat across Content, Product and Data Science.

With this program, ShareChat aims to break the myth that the chances of coming back to work for women after a break are narrow. This program will empower women and is intended to send a message that talent will be always counted at ShareChat.

ShareChat is India’s Indic language social media platform that allows users to share their opinions, record their lives and make new friends – all within the comfort of their native language. Spearheading India’s internet revolution, ShareChat is changing the way in which the next billion users will interact on the internet. visit https://we.sharechat.com
