Intel said in a statement that its India Head Nivruti Rai has stepped down from the company after 29 years of long association.

In her most recent role, she was India’s Head and Vice-President of Intel Foundry services starting at Intel in February 1994 as a design engineer.

“We are grateful to Nivruti for the tremendous progress Intel India has made under her leadership,” Intel said in a statement.

Nivruti worked with the company in the US from 1994 to 2005. In September 2005, she moved to India as a Senior Director, Chipset Engineering and Intellectual Property Development at the Group.

The company said in a statement that it would soon share more details about the leadership plans for Intel India.
