The initiative aims to introduce over 300 industry-aligned programs covering 12 major emerging technologies.
The goal is to train over 200,000 candidates and establish over 270,000 square feet of training infrastructure.
This expansion is expected to significantly enhance employability and workforce readiness.
The industry-aligned programs are designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
So far, 33 global corporations have partnered with NSDC, and 21 Future Skills Centres have been established in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Over 200 industry-aligned programs have been assessed and certified by these corporations, covering nine major emerging technologies.

Quality Education for Tier 2 and 3 Colleges: Job-as-Skills Model
NSDC aims to make quality education accessible to students from tier 2 and 3 colleges by addressing challenges in emerging technologies.
Collaborations with Institutes of National Importance have been critical to this effort.
So far, 11 premium institutions have partnered with NSDC to launch 17 micro-credential programs, awarding more than 75,000 credits and training over 5,000 candidates.
Looking forward, NSDC plans to collaborate with 15 premium institutions to introduce over 30 new micro-credential programs, awarding around 180,000 credits.
This initiative will enhance access to quality education and skill development, providing specialized training in emerging technologies across key industry verticals such as aerospace, automotive, mining, and infrastructure.
As part of the Job-as-Skills model, NSDC plans to onboard 1 million students.
This includes establishing MoUs with leading OEMs, bringing in training partners, selecting industry-specific tools, designing career progression pathways, implementing joint certification with NSDC and OEMs, and introducing new industry verticals in a phased manner.
NSDC Enhancing International Mobility

The institution is working on setting up new international language labs and assessment centres, offering training in languages such as Russian, Italian, Korean, and French to equip candidates with multilingual capabilities, enhancing their global employability.
NSDC has received requests from countries like Israel for 5,000 healthcare workers.
