Companies are taking various measures to increase Diversity in the Workforce so that women can return to the workforce.

Moreover, the companies are also creating an atmosphere where women can feel psychologically safe and supported at work.

In order to increase the women’s workforce companies have introduced various Returnship programs to help women refresh their skills and rebuild their professional confidence when they return to work.

TCS has introduced Rebegin with the #TheBigMove program: The Rebegin is an opportunity for experienced women professionals to reclaim a promising career after a break because nothing should stand in the way of deserving talent. To know more and apply click here.

Infosys has introduced The ‘Restart with Infosys’ program aims to provide an opportunity to rejoin the corporate workforce and move the career forward. An experienced professional who is currently on a break and wants to re-enter the business world and start contributing, this program will be a benefit for all women employees.

Based on the expertise, interests, and skillset, either full-time employment can be offered or fixed-term employment with Infosys. The program offers an opportunity to reskill and upskill in new and emerging technologies. To know more click here.

While speaking to Media, Aarti Srivastava, CHRO – India, Capgemini, said, “Companies today see the value in supporting women rejoining the workforce. They want to tap into diverse skills, perspectives, and experiences. They offer programs for a smoother transition after a career break.”

“At Capgemini, we understand the importance of inclusivity and the empowerment of women as they make their return to the workforce and offer tailored initiatives,” she added.

She further added, “They also make sure that managers are more inclusive and implement these policies with good intentions.”

Apart from the women employment, Vedanta Aluminium, the largest aluminum producer in India, has now hired several differently-abled individuals across its operations in Odisha and Chhattisgarh, ramping up its efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DE&I) within the metals and mining sector.

The nearly 20 employees are now contributing to Vedanta Aluminium’s operations in a diverse array of roles, ranging from commercial, human resources, and asset security to housekeeping, storekeeping, and carpentry.

Moreover, the company initiative builds on the company’s recent strides in LGBTQ+ hiring, which saw it employ, train, and deploy nearly 30 transgender individuals in core operations across its plant locations, underscoring its dedication to fostering diversity and inclusiveness.
