An American multinational technology corporation, Microsoft has announced to give employees unlimited vacation days in the US.

Employees living outside the US are not included in the policy due to different laws in all countries. The salaried employees in the US will not have a fixed number of vacation days and can take unlimited leaves for the same.

This policy is being called ‘Discretionary Time Off’. The company has updated the company’s vacation policy to a more flexible model’.

“Beginning January 16, 2023, Microsoft is modernizing our vacation policy to a more flexible model and transitioning to Discretionary Time Off (DTO),” a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement.

“How, when, and where employees do their jobs have dramatically changed and DTO aligns with more flexible ways of working”, a Microsoft spokesperson added.

Microsoft will offer workers 10 corporate holidays, leaves of absence, sick and mental health time off, as well as time off for jury duty and bereavement. Currently, the company employs 122,000 employees in the U.S.

The modernization of network core systems and operations powered by AIOps will enable operators to deploy and manage their 5G Core networks and leverage the power of the cloud to deliver new and innovative services to their customers quickly and easily.

AIOps will help operators combine big data and machine learning to automate network operations processes, including event correlation and anomaly detection, predicting fault and performance issues, thereby enabling self-serving network operations.
