Microsoft in India Expansion

Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt Ltd has acquired a prime land parcel near Hyderabad for ₹181.25 crore from Natco Pharma Ltd. The 121,000-square-yard plot is located in Nandigama village, Telangana, as per a sales deed shared by Propstack.

This significant investment highlights Microsoft’s growing interest in the region, suggesting potential development plans that align with its strategic vision.

The purchase is part of Microsoft’s recent spree of land acquisitions, further reinforcing its commitment to expanding its presence in India.

This move indicates the region’s importance in supporting Microsoft’s operational and development goals in the country.

Global tech giant Microsoft has made a landmark investment in Pune’s Hinjewadi region by acquiring a 16.4-acre (66,414.5 square meters) land parcel for ₹519.72 crore.

The deal, concluded in August 2024, included a stamp duty payment of ₹31.18 crore and a registration fee of ₹30,000, according to property portal Square Yards.

Purchased from Indo Global Infotech City LLP, this acquisition underscores Microsoft’s commitment to expanding its data center operations in India.

With the country being a key strategic market, this decision shows Microsoft’s broader vision of enhancing its infrastructure and digital capabilities in the region.
