Apple Store employees earning Rs 1.0 lakh with additional benefits

An American multinational technology company, Apple has recently expanded its presence in India. The company has opened its first official online store in Mumbai followed by Delhi.

Mumbai’s Apple Store has been opened in Mumbai’s is located bustling Bandra Kurla Complex financial, arts, and entertainment district, and Delhi one has been opened in Saket. The company has hired more than 170 highly skilled team members at its two outlets in India- Apple BKC and Apple Saket.

According to reports, Apple Store employees in India start off with a monthly salary package of Rs 1 lakh. The company has also hired from different backgrounds, including MBA graduates and BTech holders. Additionally, they are paid different salaries.

However, the salary that is being paid is believed to be up to four times higher than what other tech brands pay their retail store employees on a monthly basis. 

During the hiring process, the company has appointed highly qualified staff with educational backgrounds in IT, electrical engineering, robotics, and computer applications to work in its Indian retail stores.

According to the company’s Careers at Apple India page, it is providing benefits the following benefits to the employees including:

  • Health and wellness medical plans
  • Paid leaves
  • Tuition reimbursement for educational courses
  • Stock grants
  • Discounts on Apple stock purchases
  • Additionally, employees can avail themselves of an employee discount for Apple products.

It is also expected that the company is likely to create over 1 lakh jobs in India for FY 2024. Out of this, 40,000 roles would be direct and 80,000 would be indirect roles.
