Kotak Mahindra Bank appoints Devang Gheewalla as CFO

An Indian banking and financial services company, Kotak Mahindra Bank has appointed Devang Gheewalla as Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2024.

Devang Gheewalla will take over from Jaimin Bhatt, who is set to retire on March 31, 2024.

Shanti Ekambaram, Whole-Time Director, Kotak Mahindra Bank said, “I thank the Board and the leadership team at Kotak for entrusting me with the role of Deputy Managing Director.”

“As we embark on the next phase of scaling up Kotak, I look forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of our group”, Shanti Ekambaram added.

From April 1, 2024, while continuing his responsibilities as the Bank’s Chief Technology Officer, Milind Nagnur will also assume the position of Chief Operating Officer.

In January, the Bank appointed Anupam Kaura as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

In his role, he will be responsible for the entire HR process of Kotak Mahindra Bank and additionally, he will be spearheading organizational transformation.

Shanti Ekambaram, Whole Time Director, said “Anupam has a unique blend of experience in strategic HR leadership, change management, and technology integration.”
