Netflix appoints Madhumitha Venkataraman as Head- D&I

Madhumitha Venkataraman joins Netflix as Head of Diversity and Inclusion. In this role, currently, she leads the Inclusion and Diversity for Netflix in India and is part of the global inclusion strategy team.

Madhumitha comes with over 17 years of experience, before joining Netflix, she was working as the founder and partner of Diversity Dialogues and has worked in the space of diversity and inclusion with 100+ organizations, corporates, NGOs, and social enterprises to create an impact. She has worked across gender, disability, LGBTIQA and generational (elderly/senior citizens) diversity, mental health, ethinicity, and domestic violence.

Prior to this, Madhumitha worked with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages as Head- diversity, equity and inclusion and lead the diversity and inclusion circle for the Bottling Investments Group within the Coca-Cola System. Earlier, she also led Diversity and inclusion for Snapdeal as Head of HR for South and Head of Diversity and Inclusion.

Before this, she was associated with GE India as HR Business Partner and was instrumental in building focus on disability in GE.

Previously, she has been also associated with Mercer and Edelweiss Capital as an HR professional and has worked in areas of business partnering, setting up HR practices, leadership development, talent management, diversity and inclusion and organisation design in a large conglomerate, a start-up and a leading consulting organisation.

Madhumitha is certified as a mental health counsellor from Parivarthan Counselling, training, and research centre. She is certified in family and couples counselling as well as transaction analysis.

She holds MBA- Human Resources from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and did BMS from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics.
