Shemaroo Entertainment appoints Shiza Ansari as Head- HR

One of the largest content houses, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. has announced the key appointment. Shiza Ansari has been appointed as Head of Human Resources.

Nishith Varshneya has been appointed as the head of international business & India digital syndication. Followed by, Abhinav Anand joined the organization as vice president, digital video business.

Shiza and Nishith will report to Arghya Chakravarty, COO of Shemaroo Entertainment. Abhinav will report to Zubin Dubash, COO of digital businesses.

Commenting on the new developments in the leadership team, Arghya Chakravarty, COO – Shemaroo Entertainment said, “At Shemaroo Entertainment, we believe in cultivating an environment of innovation, growth and diversity.”

“Onboarding professionals aligned with the company’s vision will bring in new perspectives that will be critical in propelling the company forward”, Arghya Chakravarty added.

In this role, Shiza as Head of Human Resources will lead organizational transformation, business excellence, and strategic cultural development.

Shiza Ansari is an enthusiastic, progressive HR professional with over 19 years of comprehensive experience across the HR spectrum in large and mid-size organizations, Indian Conglomerates and Multinational Companies.

Shiza is experienced in Strategic Human Resource Management with a focus on Organization Transformation, Organization Design, and Development, HR Digital Transformation, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Performance Management Systems, and Rewards & Recognition Restructuring.

Shiza has a proven ability in Human Resource Strategy design and execution for acquired, expanding, and diversifying businesses – with a pivotal role in scaling up businesses & operations. She has built HR Organization Grounds up and designed culture pillars around fair and transparent people practices and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Prior to Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd., Shiza was associated with BIC as Head Of Human Resources – India. Previously, she has been associated with companies like Larsen & Toubro, Volkswagen India, and Reliance Infrastructure Ltd.

Shiza is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. She completed her MMS, Human Resources from the University of Mumbai and her bachelor’s from R A Podar College of Commerce & Economics.
