The Phoenix Mills Promotes Gautam Srivastava as CHRO

The Phoenix Mills, a prominent real estate developer, has announced the elevation of Gautam Srivastava to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

Gautam, who has been associated with the company since September 2023, previously served as Director and Head of HR. 

His new role encompasses not only HR leadership but also technology and administration for the entire group.

Accepting his promotion, Gautam expressed enthusiasm for the journey ahead.

He emphasized simplifying HR processes, making them faster and better, and bringing the human element back to HR.

His commitment to fostering growth and innovation while keeping people at the heart of everything aligns perfectly with the company’s vision.

A Distinguished Career Path

Gautam Srivastava’s professional journey reflects a rich tapestry of experiences across various industries.

An alumnus of the Indian School of Business, he also studied at the Institute of Hotel Management.

His career began in the hospitality sector as a management trainee with ITC Hotels.

Over the years, he transitioned to roles in multinational corporations, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability.

Gautam’s tenure at GE Capital and later at Convergys showcased his expertise in HR and performance solutions.

His six and a half years at Convergys allowed him to hone his skills in talent management and recruitment.

From 2007 to 2011, Gautam served as VP for learning, talent management, recruitment, and organizational development (CoE) at HSBC.

Subsequently, he joined Barclays, where he led talent acquisition and employee relations, optimizing recruitment processes and attracting top talent.

Gautam continued to make an impact in the insurance sector, serving as VP for talent management and leadership development at Max Life Insurance.

Later, he held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at HDFC ERGO General Insurance.

His move to The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts in Mumbai allowed him to contribute significantly to HR strategies within the luxury hospitality industry.

In 2023, Gautam joined The Phoenix Mills as Director and Head of HR.

During his one-year tenure, he introduced progressive initiatives that transformed talent acquisition, engagement, and development.

His focus on creating a dynamic and collaborative work culture has been commendable.
