Whirlpool appoints Hemlata as Director-GBO & Asia HR Operations

Manufacturer and marketer of home appliances, Whirlpool Corporation has announced the appointment of Hemlata Goel as Director – Global Back Office (GBO) & Asia HR Operations.

In this role, she will be responsible to lead the GBO, which supports HR services globally and Asia HR operations. She will be based out of Gurugram, India. 

Hemlata is an HR Leader with two decades of diverse HR experience in devising as well as managing end-to-end HR strategies, H2R life cycle, and processes.

She has deep expertise in HR Integration during mergers & acquisitions, partnering business turnarounds, HR Analytics, Shared Services, Coaching, client management, and talent acquisition, driving region-wide CSR initiatives.

Hemlata has led and managed the HR for varied COEs: Commercial, Research & Analytics, Healthcare, Finance Shared Services, and IT Backoffice spanning headcount from 800 to 3000.

Additionally, she also managed global HR transformation for HRMS Platforms: Success Factors, Workday, Sage, and Service Now Ticketing.

Prior to Whirlpool Corporation, Hemlata has been associated with Axtria – Ingenious Insights as Director- Global Shared Services & HR Transformation. Her association with Axtria was for a year. And earlier, she was associated with SHL as a Head HR-India at SHL( Former Gartner).

Previously, Hemlata also worked with organizations like; Alcon, BFG Corporation, WNS, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®), and Toluna.

Hemlata is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur. She holds her Master’s in Human Resources from Pune University and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (Honours) from Miranda House (Delhi University).
