Byju’s appoints former EVP-Infosys Richard Lobo for HR functions

Edtech major BYJU’s has appointed former senior executive Infosys, Richard Lobo, to drive the company’s human resource functions.

Infosys former HR head, and executive vice president, Richard Lobo resigned from the company on Friday, August 4, 2023. Earlier, he was moved to a special projects team under Parekh and Sushanth Tharappan replaced him as head of HR.

In his new role, Richard Lobo is responsible for actively guiding Byju’s management. He is closely working on organizational change and transformation, to create an outstanding workplace for its employees.

Byju Raveendran, founder, and chief executive officer, and Divya Gokulnath, co-founder, Byju’s said, “Lobo’s experience and leadership in HR will be instrumental in further enriching the work culture and ensuring that the welfare of our team members remains at the core of every decision they take.”

“Byju’s has been built by its people; it is an ecosystem where talent can thrive and grow,” said Raveendran and Gokulnath”, Byju Raveendran, founder and chief executive officer, and Divya Gokulnath added.

Richard Lobo is an alumnus of Xavier’s Institute of Management and a mechanical engineer from the Manipal Institute of Technology.
