Wherever, on the spot redressal of the grievances was not feasible, DG, ESIC directed to redress the grievances within one week’s time.

The Director General gave a patient hearing to the grievances and issues of ESIC stakeholders and instructed all the concerned ESIC officers to provide on-the-spot redressal of the issues.

A Suvidha Samagam under the chairmanship of Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Director General, ESIC was held at ESIC Headquarters.

Moreover, the Insured Persons and beneficiaries, Employers’ and Employees’ representatives joined virtually the suvidha samagam through video conferencing from various ESIC field offices across the country.

Dr. Rajendra Kumar, during the meeting said that the events like suvidha samagam help in creating trust between the organization and its stakeholders.

Understanding the need to provide an avenue to the Insured Persons & their beneficiaries for redressal of their grievances, ESIC in collaboration with EPFO’s initiative ‘Nidhi Apke Nikat’ is conducting Suvidha Samagams on the 27th of every month under one roof for alleviating and redressing the problems faced by ESIC stakeholders.

The meeting was also attended by the Financial Commissioner, Insurance Commissioners, Medical Commissioners and officers from ESIC Hqrs. and field offices.

The provisional payroll data of ESIC reveals that 19.88 lakh new employees have been added in the month of July 2023.

Around 27,870 new establishments have been registered and brought under the social security umbrella of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation in the month of July 2023, thus ensuring more coverage.

Data evidently reveals that more jobs have been generated for the youth of the nation as out of the total 19.88 lakh employees added during the month, 9.54 lakh employees up to the age group of 25 years constitute the majority of new registrations which is 47.9 % of the total employees.
