Raymond Lifestyle, a division of the iconic Indian apparel firm Raymond, is gearing up for a massive expansion.

The company has announced its intention to hire approximately 9,000 workers over the next three years.

This strategic move aligns with Raymond’s vision to open 900 new retail outlets across India, each of which will employ an average of 10 people.

Raymond Lifestyle Storefront Expansion

Raymond Lifestyle, founded in 1925, has been a household name in India for decades.

The company’s business spans not only apparel but also real estate and engineering.

Earlier this year, Raymond spun off its lifestyle division to simplify its group structure, attract more investors, and facilitate access to additional capital.

Now, with a renewed focus on its lifestyle segment, Raymond aims to create a stronger retail presence.

The plan is straightforward: Raymond Lifestyle will open 900 new stores, strategically positioned across various cities and towns.

These stores will cater to diverse customer needs, from formal wear to casual attire.

Whether it’s a classic Raymond suit or trendy everyday wear, the expanded retail network will offer something for everyone.

Factory Workforce Expansion and Global Interest

But it’s not just about the storefronts. Raymond Lifestyle is also investing in its manufacturing capabilities.

The company seeks to increase its garmenting capacity by hiring additional workers for its factories.

As Bangladesh, a major hub for apparel production, faces political unrest and floods, brands are shifting their sourcing strategies.

The company is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend by expanding its factory workforce.

Raymond Lifestyle’s garments business has a global footprint.

It exports to the United States, Europe, and Japan, contributing significantly to the group’s revenue.

Brands like J.C. Penney and Macy’s rely on Raymond’s quality products. Recently, the company has witnessed a surge in inquiries from global clients.

Brands have decided to move their sourcing operations to India to meet their requirements.

Raymond’s reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and timely delivery has made it an attractive partner for international retailers.
