Samsung has announced its ambitious plan to bring Galaxy AI features to over 400 million devices worldwide by the end of 2025.

The initiative marks a major milestone in the company’s AI strategy, which began with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series in 2024—the world’s first AI-powered smartphone.

Since then, Samsung has steadily expanded its mobile AI ecosystem across smartphones, tablets, wearables, and PCs.

The company reports that more than 70% of Galaxy S25 users actively engage with Galaxy AI features, indicating strong adoption.

The recent launch of the Galaxy Z series, integrated with One UI 8, has further accelerated uptake.

Samsung’s goal is to make AI capabilities a standard part of the user experience across its entire device portfolio.

Popular Features Driving User Engagement

Among the most widely used Galaxy AI tools are Photo Assist and Audio Eraser.

Photo Assist helps users edit images directly within the Gallery app, offering AI-powered enhancements and corrections.

Usage of this feature has nearly doubled among Galaxy S25 users compared to the previous generation.

Audio Eraser allows users to remove or adjust background noise in videos, improving clarity and usability.

Samsung has also partnered with Google to integrate features like Gemini Live and Circle to Search.

More than half of Galaxy S25 users reportedly use Circle to Search daily, underscoring the growing reliance on AI for everyday tasks.

Interpreter and Live Translate—tools that offer real-time translation during calls and conversations—remain among the most valued features, especially in multilingual regions.

Galaxy AI currently supports 30 languages, including Hindi, with plans for further expansion.

R&D and Software Integration

Samsung’s R&D centre in Bengaluru, its largest outside South Korea, has played a key role in developing Galaxy AI features.

The centre contributed to innovations such as Photo Assist, Audio Eraser, Interpreter, and Now Brief.

These tools are deeply integrated into One UI 8, Samsung’s latest software layer, which enhances usability and performance across devices.

The company’s focus on multimodal intelligence—combining text, voice, image, and gesture inputs—has helped create a more intuitive and responsive AI experience.

Samsung aims to continue refining these capabilities to support productivity, creativity, and accessibility.

Samsung Recruitment Drive to Support Future Growth

In parallel with its AI expansion, Samsung Group has announced plans to hire 60,000 new employees over the next five years.

The recruitment will focus on key growth areas including semiconductors, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence.

Nineteen affiliates—including Samsung Electronics, Samsung C&T, and Samsung Biologics—are currently recruiting.

The group will maintain its open recruitment programme for entry-level workers, a practice it has followed since 1957.

Internship programmes will also continue, offering young job seekers hands-on experience and a pathway to formal employment.

Samsung’s hiring strategy reflects its commitment to building long-term capacity in emerging technologies and supporting youth employment across markets.
