HCL Technologies (HCL), a leading global technology company, has announced the opening of its new delivery center in Vancouver, Canada.

The new center will significantly expand its presence in the country to serve clients primarily in the HiTech industry. The new, nearly 9,000-square-foot facility will be a state-of-the-art center enabling faster and streamlined delivery of innovative technology services.

Commenting on the move company said, “HCL Technologies is unveiling its next-generation Engineering and R&D center in Vancouver. The center will be the fourth delivery center for HCL after the launch of its New Brunswick, Mississauga, and Edmonton Centers. This underlines HCL’s accelerated growth ambitions in Canada and collaborative innovation with the thriving technology ecosystem across Canada.”

Joelien Jose, EVP & Country Head, Canada, HCL Technologies said, “Vancouver has a long-standing culture of innovation in technology and we’re excited to expand our presence and help bring new technologies into the region.”

“With this launch, HCL Technologies is further cementing itself as a local employer, and as a leader in emerging technologies building a strong foundation for the future,” Joelien Jose added.

Vijay Anand Guntur, President, Engineering and R&D Services, HCL Technologies said, “With this advanced facility, we will leverage our industry-leading digital engineering technology services and R&D capabilities to develop and deliver next-generation products and platforms for global customers.”

“This facility will also foster better collaboration across the Vancouver technology and education ecosystem”, Vijay Anand Guntur added.

Kennedy Stewart, Mayor, City of Vancouver said, “This city has a reputation for major technological innovation and a highly sought-after talent pool feeding the broader tech industry.”

“We’re incredibly proud to see industry leaders like HCL Technologies taking steps to further investment, foster innovation and unlock all the great potential that Vancouver has to offer businesses in the tech industry,” Kennedy Stewart added.

This announcement follows a broader wave of momentum in Canada for HCL Technologies as the company has opened new delivery centers in New Brunswick, Mississauga, and Edmonton, and also welcomed its first cohort of the HCL Technologies Apprenticeship Program in Vancouver.

The program, part of the company’s early career and training program, gives high school graduates who do not have a formal college degree the ability to pursue a career in a fast-growing industry, with focus areas in software development and testing, digital and cloud services, infrastructure delivery and engineering.
