Infosys and Telangana Government Partner for Campus Expansion

Infosys, one of India’s largest IT services companies, has announced plans to expand its campus in Hyderabad, creating 17,000 new jobs.

This expansion is part of a strategic partnership with the Telangana government, aiming to strengthen the state’s position as a leading IT destination.

Strategic Partnership: Expansion Details

The expansion will take place at Infosys’ Pocharam campus, which already employs over 35,000 people.

Infosys will complete the first phase of the project, with an investment of Rs 750 crore, in the next 2-3 years and will accommodate 10,000 employees.

Infosys will create the remaining 7,000 jobs in subsequent phases.

The announcement was made at the World Economic Forum in Davos, following a meeting between Infosys CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka and Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu.

The collaboration highlights Telangana’s proactive approach to supporting industry leaders and encouraging sustainable growth in the technology sector.

Government Support and Infosys CEO’s Statement

The expansion will significantly boost the local economy by providing numerous job opportunities and fostering innovation.

The new IT buildings will contribute to the state’s thriving IT ecosystem.

This development will also enhance Telangana’s status as a leading IT destination in the country.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu have expressed their full support for the expansion.

The state government remains dedicated to nurturing talent, creating opportunities, and fostering strategic alliances to propel the state’s economy forward.

Jayesh Sanghrajka emphasized the shared vision of driving innovation and empowering communities.

He also highlighted the importance of strengthening the IT landscape through the partnership with the Telangana government.
