Myntra to create 27,500 temp jobs by June 2022

Flipkart-owned, e-commerce company Myntra is creating 27,500 seasonal jobs for the upcoming 16th edition of its End of Reason Sale (EORS), which starts on 11th June and lasts six days.

According to the company statement, these are temporary jobs for delivery, warehouse, customer support roles etc.

Commenting on the hiring of Nandita Sinha, Chief Executive Officer, Myntra said, “The total temporary jobs being created for EORS includes jobs for over 2,000 women and 300 differently-abled people who will be part of the warehouse team across metropolitan cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata.”

“We are creating the highest seasonal job opportunities ever this EORS,” she added. The company hired 11,000 temporary workers for the festive season last year. 

She further said, “The company will also add 1,400 employees to its customer service operations. Over 4,000 temp employees will be engaged in delivery operations alone. Over 85% of deliveries will be handled by the Myntra’s Kirana partners,”

According to the company, over 5,000 brands other than small and medium-scale sellers will participate in the sale this year.

This year Myntra expects a 50% increase in orders over previous editions of the sale.
