In a resolute move towards fostering women-led entrepreneurship and driving economic growth, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has unveiled the Women Entrepreneurship Program.

This initiative aims to empower women across India by providing them with essential skills, knowledge, and resources to establish and expand successful businesses.

Addressing Gender-Specific Challenges

The Women Entrepreneurship Program recognizes the unique hurdles faced by women when venturing into entrepreneurship. From access to capital to societal expectations, these challenges often hinder women’s progress.

By offering tailored support, the program seeks to level the playing field and create a conducive environment for women entrepreneurs.

Key Features of the Women Entrepreneurship Program

  1. Collaboration with Britannia Industries Limited: NSDC has partnered with Britannia Industries, a renowned name in the food and beverage sector. This collaboration underscores both organizations’ commitment to women’s empowerment and economic inclusivity.
  2. Financial Grants and Product Showcasing: As part of the program, selected women entrepreneurs will receive financial grants. Additionally, their products and services will be featured on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH), providing them with visibility and market access.
  3. Self-Learning Basic Entrepreneurship Courses: The program kicks off with self-paced basic entrepreneurship courses available in multiple languages on SIDH. Participants who complete these courses will earn a co-branded certificate from NSDC, Britannia Industries, and the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD).

The Women Entrepreneurship Program aims to empower approximately 25 lakh (2.5 million) women across India.
