Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato, has stirred conversations with his latest post on X (formerly Twitter), seeking business and product leaders who use AI as their “second brain.”

On Social Media platform X, he wrote, “I am looking to work with business and product leaders who have already started using AI as their second brain. If you are the one, please write to me at d@zomato.com. PLEASE include the phrase ‘I have a second brain’ in the subject line.”

Reacting to this post, one of the user said, Using AI as your “second brain” can help streamline decision-making and enhance creativity, allowing you to focus on what truly matters. It’s becoming a game changer for professionals.

In response Deepinder wrote, “Absolutely. My productivity is up multiple times since I embraced it.”

Significance of this post

This social media post signals Zomato’s focus on embedding AI deeper into its operations to improve decision-making, drive innovation, and strengthen customer engagement. By targeting leaders familiar with AI, Goyal is highlighting the company’s intent to stay ahead in the competitive food-tech industry.

The phrase “I have a second brain” isn’t just a catchy line; it reflects a shift where AI moves beyond being just a tool to becoming an essential part of how leaders think and work. This aligns with global trends where companies rely on AI for data analysis, operational efficiency, and personalized services.

Goyal’s approach has sparked discussions about the future of leadership roles in tech, with many professionals showing interest. It suggests that being tech-savvy, especially in AI, is becoming as important as traditional leadership skills.

This isn’t the first time Goyal’s hiring methods have drawn attention. Earlier, he invited candidates to apply for the role of Chief of Staff with an unusual condition—candidates had to pay a fee of ₹20 lakh, and the company wouldn’t offer a salary for the first year.

As Zomato grows, these bold strategies may influence how other companies approach leadership hiring, making AI proficiency a key factor in the process.
