ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) has announced a fresh round of apprenticeship openings for the 2025–2026 training year, inviting applications for 75 positions across various technical and professional domains.

This initiative is part of ISRO’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young talent by offering hands-on training in a world-class scientific and engineering environment.

The apprenticeship opportunities are available at ISTRAC locations in Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Sriharikota.

This is a significant chance for students and fresh graduates to gain real-time exposure to India’s cutting-edge space research and satellite technology systems.

The program is expected to benefit graduates and diploma holders seeking to begin their careers with one of India’s most prestigious scientific organizations.

Categories, Disciplines, and Eligibility Criteria

The recruitment drive is open to candidates across three main categories:

  • Graduate Apprentice
  • Diploma Apprentice
  • Trade Apprentice

The Graduate Apprentice category has 46 positions for candidates holding a B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Aeronautical Engineering, or a Master’s in Library Science.

The Diploma Apprentice category includes 20 positions in streams like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer Science, and Commercial Practice, open to diploma holders from recognized state boards.

The Trade Apprentice section has 9 vacancies, requiring ITI/NTC/NAC qualifications. Trades include Electrician, Fitter, COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant), Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Electronics Mechanic, and Turner.

These roles are designed to help candidates build professional experience in their chosen field while contributing to ISRO’s technical missions.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961:

  • ₹9,000 for Graduate Apprentices
  • ₹8,000 for Diploma Apprentices
  • ₹7,000 for Trade Apprentices

To apply, candidates must first register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal to obtain an enrollment number.

The application window is open currently, and the deadline is April 21, 2025.

Interested candidates are advised to apply well before the deadline and ensure all details are filled accurately to avoid rejection.
