Nestlé India has launched a pet-friendly workplace policy, reinforcing its commitment to employee well-being and inclusivity.

The initiative, which includes ‘paw-ternity’ leave and premium pet care support, aims to support employees who welcome a new pet into their homes.

Nestlé India is incorporating pet-friendly benefits into its corporate culture, reinforcing its commitment to employee well-being.

This initiative sets a progressive example for workplace policies that prioritize emotional wellness and flexibility.

Nestlé India Pet-Friendly Benefits for Employees

Under the new policy, employees adopting a puppy or kitten will receive a starter kit featuring premium pet food from Purina Petcare.

The package includes Supercoat and Pro Plan products for puppies, and Friskies and Felix for kittens, ensuring that new pet parents have access to quality nutrition from the start.

Additionally, Nestlé India has introduced two days of ‘paw-ternity’ leave, allowing employees to take time off to settle their new pets into their homes.

This acknowledges the emotional and logistical challenges of bringing a new pet home, ensuring employees receive adequate support.

It also reinforces the company’s commitment to employee well-being, promoting a more inclusive work culture.

Company’s Vision for Workplace Inclusivity

The company recognizes the significant role pets play in employees’ lives, reinforcing their importance in workplace policies.

By doing so, it fosters a culture of empathy and emotional connection, strengthening employee well-being.

Anurag Patnaik, Head of HR at Nestlé India, highlighted that the initiative helps employees adopt pets more easily by providing essential support.

He also emphasized that the policy reinforces Nestlé India’s culture of care, fostering a more compassionate work environment.

Pallavi Anand, Head of Purina Petcare India, emphasized that the policy aligns with Purina’s dedication to supporting pet owners.

She highlighted the company’s commitment to nurturing meaningful bonds between pets and people through quality nutrition and care.
