Q1. How is Kyndryl reimagining employee experience in a hybrid, tech-enabled world to foster connection, growth, and purpose?
At Kyndryl, we believe technology should serve people and not the other way around. Our hybrid workplace is designed to foster connection, growth, and purpose.
From a unified HR portal that simplifies access to pay slips, tax documents, and benefits, to a 24/7 HR chatbot that offers instant support and seamless escalation to our human teams—we’re creating experiences that are intuitive and empowering.
We’re also embracing automation and AI to reimagine how work gets done. Whether it’s streamlining payroll or tailoring learning journeys, our goal is to free up time for what truly matters: meaningful work, human connection, and continuous growth.
Q2. How does Kyndryl balance its strong cultural values with the pace of technological transformation?
The Kyndryl Way is more than our organization’s philosophy—it’s our compass. It’s about being restless in our pursuit of excellence, empathetic in our interactions, and devoted to shared success. These values have guided us through a bold transformation, shifting from product-centric to people-centric, and reengineering over 50 HR systems in just two years.
We’ve flattened hierarchies, empowered teams, and built a culture of autonomy. Because in a fast-moving world, agility isn’t just a strategy—it’s a mindset.
Q3. How has diversity and inclusion evolved into a strategic driver in modern workplaces, and how does it impact business outcomes?
Diversity and inclusion are no longer just HR priorities, but strategic imperatives for the organization. True belonging isn’t about just fitting into the workforce; it’s about feeling safe, valued, and being free to be yourself anywhere in the workplace. People thrive when they feel seen and heard; and the business thrives when its people do.
Inclusive cultures spark innovation, deepen collaboration, and build resilience. Organizational cultures that ignore inclusion and belonging face the cost of employee disengagement, burnout, and attrition, while those that do not reaps the reward of building a workplace where people bring their best selves and stay.
Q4. Which inclusive HR policies or programs at Kyndryl are driving measurable impact?
Inclusion is woven into our DNA. The “Kyn” in Kyndryl stands for kinship—a reflection of the deep bonds we nurture across our teams, customers, and communities. In 2023, we made inclusion goals a leadership mandate. In 2024, we launched Kyndryl Be Well—a holistic well-being strategy that supports every dimension of our employees’ lives, at no cost to them or their families.
Our Inclusion Networks (KINs), experiential programmes like Tanmatra and Building Influence, and allyship training are more than initiatives—they’re catalysts for change. From reverse mentoring to inclusive leave policies, we’re building a workplace where every voice matters and every person belongs.
Q5. How does AI readiness shape HR strategy at an enterprise level?
Kyndryl’s People Readiness Report 2025 revealed a clear gap in AI readiness among Indian organizations: while AI adoption is high, workforce readiness is lagging. At Kyndryl, we’re bridging that gap with a people-first approach. We partner with business leaders to reimagine roles, automate tasks, and prepare teams for change well before it arrives.
Through platforms like Kyndryl Bridge, we deliver millions of insights monthly, helping our people make smarter decisions. Our Career Mobility Center integrates skills data to anticipate gaps, tailor learning, and redeploy talent. Every employee sets their own development and “Responsibility to Others” goals—because growth is a shared journey.
Q6. What future shifts do you foresee in workforce dynamics?
AI is gaining momentum and adoption but its full potential is yet to be unlocked. The next frontier isn’t building strategy—it’s execution. It will be key for organizations to equip their teams with the right tools, skills, and mindset.
As we embrace virtual collaboration, digital twins, and hybrid models, human-centric skills—empathy, creativity, critical thinking—will be our greatest differentiators. The future belongs to those who learn, adapt, and lead with heart.
