Google has inaugurated its new campus, named “Ananta,” in Bengaluru.

This campus is billed as one of Google’s largest offices globally, reflecting the company’s deep commitment to India and its strategic importance in the global tech industry.

The inauguration of the Ananta campus marks a new chapter in Google’s journey in India, emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and growth.

Google’s new campus in Bengaluru, named “Ananta,” signifies the company’s ongoing commitment to India.

This market continues to shape the future of technology and digital connectivity on a global scale.

The campus, spanning 1.6 million square feet, is designed to house over 5,000 employees and is one of Google’s most ambitious ground-up developments.

The name “Ananta,” meaning “infinite” or “limitless” in Sanskrit, reflects the boundless potential Google sees in improving lives through technology.

Prominent Features of the Ananta Campus

The Ananta campus embodies Google’s latest thinking in workplace design, aiming to foster collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being.

Each working floor is organized like a city grid, with a network of streets for easy navigation.

Individual “neighborhoods” within the campus foster collaboration while also providing individuals with the freedom to focus within smaller nooks and booths.

The campus features one of India’s largest installations of electro-chromic glass and a sculpted, fluid facade for architectural interest.

At the heart of the building is a vast gathering space called “Sabha,” designed for community and conversation.

The Sabha serves as a town hall amphitheater and a place for informal collaboration.

The campus also includes extensive landscaping and walking and jogging paths, inspired by Bengaluru’s reputation as India’s Garden City.

These features create a peaceful and healthy work environment for employees.

Google India: Commitment, Focus Areas and Future Plans

The company leverages Indian ingenuity to create products and platforms that benefit billions of users globally.

Looking ahead, Google India will focus on empowering businesses and individuals through widespread AI adoption.

The company aims to ensure that AI transformation creates a systemic impact in areas such as agriculture, health, and fintech.

Google plans to work in deep partnership with India’s vibrant research and startup ecosystem.

This approach will make Google’s products more helpful and ensure that Indians of varying talents join this journey through skilling.
