Cognizant India invites job applications for 800+ WFO/Hybrid roles

An American multinational information technology services and consulting company, Cognizant is seeking applicants for various roles globally and in India.

Cognizant is hiring countrywide and inviting job applications from experienced professionals for various roles across India. The company has posted multiple hybrid jobs for locations across the country.

The company said on its page, “Explore a world of opportunity. Collaborate with the world’s leading companies. Take your ideas to the next level.”

Mostly the positions are for the Technology & Engineering domain, and other positions include IT Infrastructure, Business Processes, Consulting, and Corporate jobs.

Working Model

In February, Cognizant in India employees are asked to work from the office thrice a week. Around 254,000 of Cognizant’s 347,700 employees are based in India.

In an internal memo, Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S has urged staff to use the in-person time to prioritize activities “that benefit greatly from being together” such as collaborative projects, training, and team building.

Recently regarding a work policy update, Cognizant’s CEO Ravi Kumar S said to employees via email that it is expected to be in the office an average of three days per week, or as defined by their team leader.

Recently, Cognizant and Microsoft Corp have joined forces to offer Microsoft’s generative AI and Copilots to millions of users, aiming to revolutionize enterprise operations, improve employee experiences, and expedite innovation across various industries.

Moreover, Cognizant plans to implement Microsoft 365 Copilot for a million users across their global 2000 clients and spanning 11 industries. As part of Cognizant’s Synapse skilling initiative, 35,000 Cognizant developers have undergone training on Github Copilot, with another 40,000 developers scheduled to participate in training sessions.

The company faced a dip in headcount. The company’s total headcount stood at the end of the fourth quarter and full-year 2023 was 347,700, an increase of 1,100 from Q3 2023 and a decrease of 7,600 from Q4 2022.
