An American multinational technology company, Apple has gifted its employee with the ‘rarest product’ for 10 years of service with the organization.

A YouTube video was posted by DongleBookPro. This video showed “Apple’s rarest secret product”, a commemorative plaque specially designed for the 10th anniversary of the employee.

The award contains a detailed explanation of the making of the product, too. The gift contained a note from the Chief Executive Officer of Apple Tim Cook.

The note said, “Congratulations on reaching this milestone moment. The work you’ve done, the challenges you’ve met, and the breakthroughs you’ve made possible — they all add up to a profound and lasting contribution to Apple’s mission to change the world for the better.”

“On behalf of everyone at Apple, thank you for all you bring to our journey together,” the note added.

This comes when major IT companies are laying off employees. Tech companies have either frozen the hiring process or laid off many employees. The major companies that laid off employees include Infosys, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Byju’s, Wipro, and Salesforce laid off a maximum number of workers globally.

Earlier in November, Amazon announced that will be layoff 10,000 employees. However, the company further added 8,000 employees, and the total layoffs were announced as 18,000 employees. On the other hand, Google sacked roughly 12,000 staff and Salesforce laid off 7,000 employees.

One major reason behind the recent tech layoffs was overhiring. On the other hand, Apple did not do during the covid pandemic. In comparison to other tech companies, Apple scaled its workforce at a slower pace.

Additionally, Apple Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Cook will take a 40% pay cut in 2023. The pay cut was based on the balance sheet feedback, Apple’s exceptional performance, and a recommendation. The current salary of Tim Cook was USD 49 million (Rs 3,98,75,71,000) in 2023.

Earlier, Tim Cook earned USD 99.4 million in 2022. The salary package includes USD 3 million in base salary, about USD 83 million in stock awards, and a bonus. In 2021 his previous salary was USD 98.7 million.
