Delhivery, India’s largest fully integrated logistics service provider, has launched its second all-women’s hub in Sikar, Rajasthan, reinforcing its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, the company announced on Wednesday.

This follows soon after the Moga facility in Punjab was successfully transformed into a 100% female-managed center in March of this year.

At Sikar, women will be responsible for all functions, including administration, operations, and security. Delhivery provides diversified opportunities for women even in non-traditional roles like driving battery-operated pallet trucks (BOPTs), and loading and unloading trucks.

Giving more insights, Suraj Saharan, Chief People Officer and Co-founder at Delhivery, said, “We are very excited with the launch of this all-women hub at Sikar. Delhivery is proud of what our women colleagues are able to accomplish when given the right platform.”

“They not only have a great impact but also contribute towards lower attrition and absenteeism while directly boosting our efficiency and productivity”, Suraj added.

Suraj further said, “We are committed to providing a favourable and safe work environment, skills training, and the right HR policies to enable our women colleagues to succeed.”

“In the last one year we have accelerated the recruitment of women in our team, with their headcount increasing by ~60% in FY24 as compared to ~15% in FY23,” Mr. Saharan further added.

Delhivery aspires to significantly boost the number of women enrolled in and empowered in the logistics sector by fostering diversity within the company.

The company has already successfully scaled women’s participation at its gateways across locations, including in Tauru, Haryana, and Bhiwandi, Mumbai. Women now make up 66% of the workforce at the Tauru processing center. Building on these successes, many more such hubs are in the pipeline.
