Tech Mahindra to hire 1000 people for its first global delivery center

Tech Mahindra, a leading service provider of digital transformation has announced the set-up of its first global delivery center in Cairo, Egypt as a step towards expansion. The company will hire 1000 employees over a span of 3 years.

The firm has also signed an agreement with the ITIDA i.e. Information Technology Industry Development Agency.

The initiative toward the development of the global delivery center is backed by the hiring of 1000 employees over a span of 3 years to enable the firm to manage global operations smoothly.

The firm has planned several upskilling and reskilling opportunities for the indigenous workforce so that the local talent can be well merged with the diversified talent pool of the company.

Dr. Talaat confirmed that Egypt is the new core of global delivery for Tech Mahindra due to its unique geographical location between 3 continents. The agreement was signed in the presence of Mostafa Madbouly, PM of Egypt, Dr. AMR Talaat, minister of ICT (Information and communication technology), Ajit Gupte, Indian ambassador to Egypt, and various other top-level officials of Tech Mahindra.

While discussing Senior Vice-president Ram Ramachandran said, “Egypt is a source of great talent and technical skills that can boost our service delivery in regional and global markets. It is also a key growth market for us in the Middle East and Africa region.”

The new facility in Cairo, Egypt will enable Tech Mahindra to have access to various regions and provide faster service to its clients across various sectors such as telecom, oil and gas, BFSI, energy and utilities, big data, and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
