Founder praises ‘high-integrity’; staffer denies taking increased pay

Shivanshi Verma the employer and founder of the healthcare app HealthTick explained that an employee, she hired is a ‘high-integrity’ staffer and even after increasing the salary the employee refused.

Explaining the ‘high-integrity’ of the employee the founder has explained that she has hired an employee after college.

The founder shared a post on Twitter saying, “We increased her salary but she refused to take it. I hired her as a fresher out of college.”

“After 6 weeks, I started to realize she wasn’t fit for the role and we might need to let her go. But beforehand she persuaded me to give her a chance in a different role. We agreed!”, the post added.

The post further said, “She started her other role. And she was surprisingly very good at it, she did an excellent job that we had to change our thought. After two months, we both founders were super impressed.”

“We offered her a senior role even though she’s just a fresher. Along with that we also increased her salary. But she talked me out and asked me NOT to increase her salary until I feel I deserve it. “I’d like to add more value first”, the post concluded.

The tweet has received various reactions one user said, “Na bhai she was just afraid, more salary means more responsibility and more chances of making stakeholders disappointed if she messes up in tasks, That’s why. Isko formally is tarah se bolte hai.”

To this, the founder replied, “I won’t say so. Once I send her 2K extra as a bonus and she sent me back saying I have got 2K extra salary.”

“She’s just super honest and a person with high integrity. It’s primarily because her mother is an entrepreneur and she understands how things work in the startup”, she added.
