Sameer Wadhawan to retire as SVP & Head- HR at Samsung

Sameer Wadhawan is set to retire as Senior Vice President & Head- Human Resources from Samsung Electronics India Limited. Tomorrow, April 30 will be his last working day with the company.

He has a corporate career of 37 years and has been an experienced HR professional, HR mentor and Coach, Talent advisor, and HR strategist.

His earlier stints include leading organizations such as; Coca-Cola, Nokia, Cadence Design Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Duracell, and Ranbaxy

Confirming his retirement, Sameer said on Social Media, “Thank you leadership team and my colleagues at Samsung Electronics for a very satisfying and professionally enriching journey. I will retire from the services of the company tomorrow.”

“I am filled with nostalgia as I look back at my corporate career of 37 years The constant guidance, support, and coaching of my managers, friends, peers, and colleagues, have made it a satisfying and fulfilling journey. I had the privilege of working across the sectors and companies, most of them in the global Fortune 500 companies list”, he added.

He further said, “The stints at Coca-Cola, Nokia, Cadence design systems, Hewlett-Packard, Duracell, and Ranbaxy provided me the best of the opportunities across multiple industries and with global teams. These strong inclusive cultures and experiences shaped my personality, values, and beliefs and helped me become the person I am today.”

“I am filled with immense gratitude for this enriching journey. As I take some time off to plan my next steps, I wish each one of you all the very best”, the post concluded.

He holds his Master in Business Administration (MBA, Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General) from XLRI Jamshedpur.
